BIO
Keeli is an installation artist who uses multimedia (video, photography, music, light, and found plumbing objects) to call attention to the spiritual and environmental aspects of water. Having earned her MFA from the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, she has been a practicing artist in Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and North America. Her frequent exposure to the lakes and rivers of northern Wisconsin has influenced recent projects, including a film, *Swimming at Sunset*, that was shown as part of an installation in a stone bell tower. While in residency at the Vermont Studio Center, Keeli completed an outdoor sound installation with originally composed music that responded to the changing water levels and moods of the Gihon River. She has participated in several group exhibitions in cities around the globe including Cologne, Daegu (South Korea), Edinburgh, Minneapolis, and Somerset (England), and her work can be seen in permanent collections in Toronto, Edinburgh, and central Minnesota. A world traveler, musician, photographer, mother of three children, and former labor and delivery nurse, Keeli is drawn to extreme landscapes, natural lighting, hiking in the Scottish Highlands, and creating authentic experiential art.
