I'm Looking Through You
How did you use your time in the Midwives?
I did a lot of writing and a lot of wishing I had something more to share than what were basically journal entries.
What is a discovery you made about yourself or your process?
There's nothing wrong with a bit of vulnerable writing, and I do enjoy it. But if you were to ask me what I wish I was doing more of, I'd say singing for a crowd. If there is no expectation or deadline for me to share something creative, it is highly unlikely that I will end up doing it. I keep waiting to be some different and better version of myself, which is not fair or nice to my true self. I can't grow or evolve if my current self never gets a green light to move forward.
Can you describe your piece / process for us?
This is one of hundreds of videos on my phone of me singing, and nearly all of them were filmed with the intent of sharing. I have posted maybe four of them. I stumbled upon this one and honestly I think it's a shame that I never shared this one, so here you go. I'll give you three guesses as to what time of year I filmed this.
